The role of the piano teaching faculties are discussed. Methods: After practice teaching at kindergartens, we questionnaired the students on items such as, (1) what were their required musical tunes,(2) how to introduce to the musical tunes, (3) what were their self-evaluations on their performances, (4) what were their next targets. Results: Almost all students were requested to play the piano at kindergartens. But their skills proved to be lower level than those required at the kindergartens. Proposal: It is necessary to reinforce the piano teaching system through cooperations of “piano” and “expression” classes during two-years in the college.
